Plyometrics for the Elderly Client

I’m sure people reading this who have done some form of plyometric training before think I’m looking to take great aunt Gladys and start smashing depth jumps or explosive med ball throws and catches on day one.

Probably not, but that being said I have a few clients in their 70s doing box jumps, bounding drills, and max effort throws.

That being said, there are a lot of ways you can adjust the intensity of an exercise to try to develop a stretch-shortening cycle to produce muscle contraction, plus crush up some increased neuromuscular activity compared to slow smooth movements. In this short video, I outline the physiology on how this can be achieved, plus give some strategies on how to make it happen, even if your clients retired before the first Bush president.

This is a short clip from our new series Even More Complete Shoulder & Hip Blueprint, a brand new product with entirely new content from the version 1 workshop, which is on sale until Sunday for $70 off the regular price, and digs into individualization concepts like this, plus so much more to help you get the best possible plan of action for your clients in order to get them results in the fastest, easiest and safest manner possible.

The sale only lasts until Sunday at midnight, so act quick to get your copy before the price goes up.
